SINAG Cagayan Valley, in partnership with the CSU Knowledge & Technology Management and Publication Office (KTMPO), hosted a Pitching Workshop to gear up innovators for the much-anticipated SINAG Technology Pitch.

This preparatory activity aimed to equip CSU researchers and technology generators with essential skills in innovation branding and effective presentation.

🔹 Opening Message

Dr. Junel B. Guzman, Consortium Director and CSU Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension (RDE), officially opened the event. In his message, he emphasized the value of workshops like this in empowering innovators, enhancing their visibility, and refining their concepts to meet industry demands.

🔹 Branding 101 by Atty. Norman Lasam

A key highlight of the workshop was the Branding 101 session led by Atty. Norman Clarence T. Lasam, Director of the Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO).

He discussed how strategic branding plays a vital role in differentiating technologies in the market. Atty. Lasam also guided participants in identifying whether their products are “wants” or “needs” — and how to shift towards the latter by addressing real-world problems and creating compelling value propositions.

🔹 Interactive Exercises & Feedback

In the afternoon, participants developed their brand identity and vision, presented their pitch decks, and received constructive feedback from mentors and peers. These interactive sessions helped refine their brand messages and improve their confidence in delivering a compelling pitch.

This workshop was a crucial step toward the March 13, 2025 SINAG Technology Pitch, which will spotlight groundbreaking innovations ready for commercialization.
