The SINAG Cagayan Valley Consortium officially launched the 2nd Cagayan Valley Startup Week (CVSW) on September 17–19, 2024, at SM City Tuguegarao, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the regional startup ecosystem through innovation and collaboration. With the theme “Accelerating Cagayan Valley Startup Ecosystem Competitiveness through Innovation and Collaboration,” the event brought together key partners from HEIs, TBIs, and government and private sectors.

CVSW 2024 opened with strong support from members including CSU, ISU, NVSU, BizNEST, CVLTBI, ADePT-TBI, SABATAN, Smart City TBI, and agencies such as DOST, DTI, DA, DICT, and PCCI. The ceremony featured the unveiling of the SINAG logo and theme song, a pledge signing, and the awarding of plaques to outstanding partners.

In her opening message, SINAG Director Dr. Junel B. Guzman emphasized the importance of unity, creativity, and bold leadership in shaping the region’s future, encouraging participants to use the three-day event as a platform to connect, collaborate, and create impact. Support messages from DOST and DTI regional leaders underscored the event’s role in advancing startups and MSMEs in Region 2.

This year’s CVSW showcases how public-private partnerships can drive inclusive economic growth and innovation across Cagayan Valley.
