DOST R02 and SINAG Cagayan Valley Explore Collaboration for iFWD PH Program

On December 4, 2024, SINAG Cagayan Valley and the Department of Science and Technology Region 02 (DOST R02) held a strategic meeting at the TBI Office, CSU-Andrews Campus to discuss collaborative efforts under the Innovation for Filipinos Working Distantly from the Philippines (iFWD PH) Program.

The iFWD PH Program aims to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families in building sustainable, technology-driven enterprises upon reintegration. The dialogue focused on key areas such as customized training modules, enterprise innovation, monitoring and evaluation systems, and community-based outreach to maximize program impact.

Present at the meeting were Mr. Jeffson B. Carbonell and Engr. Jude Michael C. Magora of DOST R02, and from SINAG: Consortium Director Dr. Junel B. Guzman, Engr. Rachelle Joy Consigna, Engr. Mariael Denise Capili, and Mr. Christian Dave Columna.

The session concluded with a mutual commitment to formalize the partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), reflecting a shared mission to empower OFWs and foster inclusive, tech-driven development across Cagayan Valley.
